For now, i did an ugly and temporary workaround, update manually and exposed the history_counter.json from the apache endpoint reached by https://stats.export.softwareheritage.org (public annex from pergamon).

Currently the WordPress plugin we are using to interact with Stripe does not yet support SCA but it will be added during the summer.
FWIW https://grafana.softwareheritage.org/d/jScG7g6mk/objstorage-object-counts?orgId=1 is a (not great) implementation of this.

the more I look into this, the more I get convinced that what we should actually remove is the https://www.softwareheritage.org/archive/ page, its content should be just integrated/moved into the homepage of archive.s.o.
May 24 2019
Other option: rename the Archive link in the top navbar to API / Browse (I would rather go for this one instead)

No particular issue detected after the PHP upgrade.
May 14 2019
We're already using LiveDNS for the softwareheritage.org zone, so DNS switchover time should not be an issue (all the more so considering the softwareheritage.org -> www.softwareheritage.org redirect is half-broken already).

Translations fixed. Thanks again.
Thanks for the report. Currently fixing the translation issues.

According to Gandi documentation, if we switch to their LiveDNS feature, there will be no downtime.

If we remove it from the main website, we should also remove it everywhere for consistency.
@anlambert: are you proposing to remove it from everywhere or only from www.s.o ?
How about dropping the top navbar ? It is not consistent across all of our websites (it is missing on our forge for instance) and all links it contain can be easily found from our main website.

Fixed in production by adding theme permissions to the Editor role through the use of the WP plugin mentioned above.

To clarify: "assignment" of tasks to specific people is something only us, Software Heritage maintainers, do. Hence I'm de-assigning the issue from @01shobitha.

Sorry for that, I thought there were no more job offers at the moment. As I did not read carefully I thought it was the english page that was not in sync with the french and spanish ones. Job offer is now back online in english language for all available translations.
the job offer is now gone completely from the english page :-(

The counters are working fine, only the graphs of the historical data on the website are broken.

@katrinleinweber jsyk, our staging area setup and documentation [1] [2] have been updated accordingly (rationale is at T1522).
@katrinleinweber Thanks for the contribution!
Thanks for the advice :-) With this Arcanist, they were indeed needed.

Thanks for the contribution! If you could submit us a Phabricator Diff (which is close to GitHub Pull Request)
by following the instructions in the link posted by vlorentz above, I will be glad to integrate it.
The doc for contributing is here: https://wiki.softwareheritage.org/wiki/Code_review_in_Phabricator

Further minor suggestions (i.e., it can be improved upon later if you're ready to go as is):
- the boxes now look too "wide", maybe you can increase the number of columns from 3 to 5 or 6
- also, do we still have a reason to keep the solid line borders now that the text is gone? I haven't tried, but I guess that without borders the page will feel more slick. YMMV

Thanks for the update, looks even greater now :-)
thanks ! good idea.
As @zack suggested it, the texts are now in the tooltips in order to gain display space.
For the inria logo, I think the best is to add a small GitLab logo in it to disambiguate
with HAL.
Can you keep the texts in the boxes you had with F3322096 ?
I find it clearer than just the logo.
Also, it helps to distinguish gitlab-Inria and hal, because hal has an hal-inria instance.
Thanks for the review! HAL has been added and this is now how it looks: F3322266.
Currently working on integrating this into the main website
I should deploy it during the afternoon.
Looks great !
That is awesome, thanks a lot!
This is what I have implemented so far: F3322096

This is due to the Layers Pro WP plugin extending the default Layers theme with fancy features that heavily rely on the use of JavaScript.
Deactivating it fixes the issue but unfortunately we rely on some features of Layers Pro (for instance on the Donate page).

I agree that the language chooser is too prominent. However, from my point of view, it should not be removed from the top menu bar
as it is quite natural to find it here (having to scroll to the bottom of the page for changing the language is not really optimal in terms
of UI and navigation).

I'm currently on it. The top menu reorganization looks good to me. I found a nice WP plugin to easily include citations with automatic BixTex entry generation and links to paper pdf.
can we first check if we agree on the proposal above between us?
then, sure, @anlambert can get Fred in the loop before implementing this
Please share this suggestion with Fred Weill too, he is working on the new
design for the website and is not tacking tasks on the forge.
