Create shorter url redirecting to "Save code now"
Open, HighPublic

Description

I need a "https://save.softwareheritage.org" as a short url redirecting to https://archive.softwareheritage.org/browse/origin/save/

Could not find easily a way to get this on Gandi (only the http: redirection is now in place), and we need also the https one

Maybe renaming the save code now url to https://archive.softwareheritage.org/save/ would be a good mitigation as it is not hard to remember ?

That is definitely worth doing, as /browse/origin/save is not really
semantically sound.
Please make sure the old URL returns a permanent redirection (301) to the
new one

I also need save.softwareheritage.org, though :-)

I agree, the original naming scheme is not great. I will make the change today.

Of course, I will maintain backward compatibility.

I do not have the sufficient permissions to do that, forwarding that part to @olasd.

Just wanted to mention here that @douardda and @olasd discussed getting a short URL style domain (I think it was swh.li, but I'm not entirety sure) for various shortening needs).

That said I'm fine with both save.s.o and archive.s.o/save. I'm adding the info above as it seems to be somewhat related.
