Add search box in top bar
Closed, MigratedEdits Locked

Description

In order for users to easily issue a new origin search request when browsing the archive content, a search box should always be available (except for pages already containing one) in the GUI.

Adding that search box in the right part of the top bar seems the most common way nowadays.

See this proposed design as a reference.

I agree that a search box is a great way to keep the user engaged.
The text in the search box can be leading, here in the example we have Enter keyword, but the result is a search on the url, right?
If the search is the actual search on url:
Enter url
Enter repository
Search the archive

If the search is on the website itself:
Search website
Or another entry to make this clearer.
