Orsay contains two LSI SAS 2108-based RAID adapters:

05:00.0 RAID bus controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic MegaRAID SAS 2108 [Liberator] (rev 05)
22:00.0 RAID bus controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic MegaRAID SAS 2108 [Liberator] (rev 05)

Their commercial names are:

  • PERC H700 Integrated
  • PERC H800 Adapter

Batteries for PERC H700 adapters have the part number U8735 and/or NU209.

Dell itself doesn't seem to sell them but some independent vendors still reference them:

I have filtered out offers for old batteries. The two vendors referenced above SHOULD provide newly manufactured parts.
I had good experiences with EET in the past.

At least some of the batteries for PERC H800 adapters use part number KR174 and/or M164C.
Some information leads me to believe they could also be used with PERC H700 adapters.

@ftigeot did you try to *call* the Dell sales rep, as we discussed a while ago?

has this been completed since?

Fwiw, I never got an answer from Dell on that topic.

Hardware is too old / starting to fall apart for other reasons.
It would be more cost-effective to replace it.
