Description

I've just saved swh:1:snp:952376399ae6bf9fdbc352f754685e6b947a81fe;origin=https://github.com/citation-file-format/cff-converter-python, and have discovered that it gives the number of releases as 0, as compared to the 17 releases in the repo: https://github.com/citation-file-format/cff-converter-python/releases.

I would expect the relesae tab in the Archive page for this repository to list the 17 releases. The release tags are still available via the branch drowpdown (e.g., refs/tags/1.3.3 for the last release).

Hi,

Thanks for the report and sorry for the delay.

It's a known issue (T2059) that we load lightweight tags as simple branches rather than releases. We're hoping to fix it in the next months.

In the meantime, if this is an issue for you, you can use annotated git tags, ie. git tags with a release message, which you can create with git tag -a
