# ScanR - SWH
ScanR is a tool for a research graph for French authors and research outputs, creating a link between authors, institutions, publications and other research outputs (including software.
With ScanR measuring Open Science becomes possible.
Software links are identified on the abstract with a clear GitHub link and then directly linked into SWH.
SWH on ScanR: https://scanr.enseignementsup-recherche.gouv.fr/focus/software_heritage
example: [[ScanR|https://scanr.enseignementsup-recherche.gouv.fr/publication/doi10.1002%25252fbimj.201500098]] is a platform that indexes outputs from French research. It has recently started to create links between research articles and software archived in Software Heritage.
## 20.3.2020 call chat exchanges:We plan to collect [[ https://scanr.enseignementsup-recherche.gouv.fr/focus/software_heritage | the metadata generated by ScanR ]] about //software origins// archived in Software Heritage, as //software origin metadata//.
- Reference chasing and examples on the different aliases used for software citation: https://github.com/dbouquin/cite_astro_software_2019/blob/master/XML_SEARCH/XML_ALIAS_LIST.txtThis can be done in two ways:

@rdicosmo proposes to send ISA2 link.
Metadata roadmap
- A possible outcome in the mid-term would be to deposit ScanR metadata for origins in SWH - **[preferred]** as a //deposit// from ScanR into SWH (like the metadata only deposit planned for HAL, see T1021)
- **[fragile]** as a //pull// operation, with SWH extracting information from the ScanR API
