So, as zack mentioned, we did the changes.

As we are working towards a consistent tool api interface though [1]
(including the deposit client [2]), we'd like you to be able to use that
interface in order to avoid one more round-trip adaptation on your part.

We should land this during the week. We will get back to you as soon as
it's ready.
